About the Role:

The Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture within the Hispanic Health Council. This position is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the organization's goals while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The HR Manager will oversee employee relations, benefits administration, and related initiatives, ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and equitably. Additionally, this role involves managing HR operations and policies, which are crucial for maintaining a productive and compliant workforce. Ultimately, the HR Manager will contribute to the overall success of the organization by enhancing employee satisfaction and retention through effective human resource practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in human resources management, preferably in the health and social services sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and labor regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee relations by addressing grievances, conducting investigations, and facilitating conflict resolution.
  • Oversee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Manage internship and volunteer programs.
  • Conduct training sessions on HR policies, employee rights, and workplace conduct.
