Job Description - Lead On-Site Operations - Oversee all phases of construction from groundbreaking to project completion, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Team Leadership - Manage and coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and labor crews to drive productivity and safety.
- Scheduling & Budgeting - Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
- Quality Control - Implement and enforce quality control programs to guarantee compliance with contract documents and specifications.
- Safety Oversight - Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring all job site activities comply with company and OSHA safety standards.
- Client & Stakeholder Coordination - Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
- Problem Solving - Proactively identify and resolve issues to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Reporting - Provide regular project updates to management and stakeholders, documenting progress and any challenges.

The Successful Applicant Minimum
8-12 years of experience as a Public Works Construction Superintendent with a general contractor
Experience managing
ground-up public works projects valued at
$50M+ (education, civic, libraries, etc.)
Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam)
Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams under tight deadlines
What's on Offer Public Works Construction Superintendent
Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 (DOE)
