Baptist Urgent Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our dynamic healthcare team! We offer PRN opportunities! ABOUT Baptist URGENT CARE: Baptist Urgent Care operates 100 locations across Mississippi and Tennessee, and is an affiliate of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers provide quality and affordable family healthcare at over 85 locations under seven branding names. Baptist Urgent Care offers walk-in centers where patients can receive a variety of healthcare services including treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Our centers are open seven days a week, ensuring accessibility: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All our locations are Accredited Care Centers, recognized by the Urgent Care Association for our commitment to safety, quality, and comprehensive services.

JOB SUMMARY:

As an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be integral in delivering exceptional medical care to patients of diverse ages with a range of acute and chronic conditions. Collaborating with a talented healthcare team, you will diagnose, treat, and educate patients while ensuring the highest standards of care. Full-time providers typically work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and alternating weekends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Delivering exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and team members. Providing friendly, convenient patient care. Leading and assisting during emergencies, offering comfort and reassurance to patients. Conducting medical assessments, treatments, management, and follow-ups for clinic patients in areas such as primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers compensation. Performing medical procedures, including laceration repairs, injections, splinting, and abscess incision and drainage. Overseeing on-site laboratory, x-rays, and direct access services as applicable. Maintaining clinical competencies and participating in staff education programs. Ensuring compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation standards. Participating in policy development affecting medical practice and quality of care. Guiding other medical staff to enhance service quality and patient satisfaction.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

Experience as a Provider is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply! Requirements include: State License as an APRN or Physician Assistant Certification as an APRN through the AANP or ANCC DEA license, or willingness to obtain upon hire DOT certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire BLS certification
