- Provide tutoring and similar academic assistance services to students via multiple platforms.
- Provide supplemental academic support to individual students and small groups.
- Demonstrate and use technology, audiovisual aids, and other materials (as necessary) to supplement tutoring sessions and presentations.
- Promotes student participation in social, cultural, and recreational activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Meets with students and assists in improving academic achievement to clarify learning problems and work on study skills.
- Review class material, discuss text, predict test questions, formulate ideas for papers, or work on solutions to problems.
- Meeting informally with student and faculty groups to plan co-curricular activities.
- Evaluating co-curricular activities, suggesting modifications when appropriate.
- Conducting orientation programs for new students with program faculty and staff.
- Providing peer counseling (individual or group) on any selection of social activities and use of leisure time.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - High School diploma or GED.
- Must be a current College student.
- One (1) year of experience tutoring.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Associates and/or Bachelors Degree
- Two (2) or more years experience in higher education
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Strong interpersonal skills.
